Ananda White
Ananda, Sanskrit for bliss, is exactly what we feel when we sit and savor several steepings of this Nepalese beauty.
From high in the Himalayas comes a light and bright white tea experience. Picked young, these tender leaves have plenty of silvery, downy tips and the fruity aromas that come along with them. Creamy, buttery, vegetal notes abound and they play in a perfectly balanced fashion with the fruitiness, the muscatel and distant floral tones.
Get this in your cup and prepare for sweet bliss.
Additional Info
Loose, white tea may be given a 10 second rinse with the same temperature water as used for brewing. This warms the pot and primes the leaf.
175˚-185˚ F water temperature.
Use 1 to 2 tsp. per 8oz. of filtered water.
Recommended first steeping of 1 minute. Add 30 seconds for each subsequent infusion. Steeps over and over again! Try pushing water temperature higher in later infusions to coax the minerals and roundness out of the leaf.
Tea brewing is meant to be a joyful exploration. There are no hard and fast rules. Experiment with the quantity of tea that you use, and steeping times. Enjoy discovering what your preferences are. They may change day to day.
