Java Oolong
Coffee and tea together? Now this is a horse of a different color! Fine, organically grown oolong tea first fired using charcoal made from coffee wood and then roasted with actual coffee beans from the same province, also grown organically. The results? Stunning.
Prepare your senses for a real treat. We are hardcore tea nuts and never thought we be so excited about a coffee-enhanced oolong, but now, we can’t wait to share it with you. It’s become a regular in the drinking rotation here at Mandala. Rich, malty and smooth right off the bat, we greatly enjoy the notes of coffee, caramel, chocolate and stone fruit. Plenty of roasty notes abound with no astringency sometimes present in other roasted oolongs. This tea sweetens up as you get into later infusions and is easily capable of 8 or more steeps brewed up gong fu style, so enjoy! But that’s not all, the body feel of this tea is second-to-none, energizing and healing.
This would be a great way to show your coffee loving friends just how swell tea can be. Such a treat!
