Lady With A Fan 2020 Ripe Cake 100G
Gratefully procured, our exclusive Lady With a Fan tea was harvested and processed in the spring of 2016 at Ba Da Mountain in Menghai County. In spring of 2017 this gong ting (aka imperial grade) leaf was expertly pile fermented and then stored in hot and humid Menghai before arriving at our HQ in August of 2020. Not a trace of post-fermentation aroma or flavor left in this tea. We loved it so much upon our first taste, that we commissioned this limited pressing of 100 gram cakes of this tea. The loose-leaf version is available here.
Gong ting leaf is power-packed and perfect for an every day drinker. Full-bodied flavor, slight hints of leather, fruit, root vegetables, wood and earth. We recommend trying this tea with very short infusions, for the small leaves present their flavor to the hot water quickly. To experience the full flavor in all its glory, be sure to try it as one long infusion as well. Experiment with allowing the tea liquor to cool to near room temperature versus very hot and taste the impact that has on the character of the drink.
